Privacy Policy
Last updated October 24, 2026.
1. Who we are and what this policy covers
SirGutters (“SirGutters,” “we,” “us” or “our”) runs sirgutters.com and its state sites, such as georgia.sirgutters.com (together, the “Site”). The Site is a free directory of local gutter companies. It also lets homeowners call one SirGutters number or send one request and be connected with participating gutter companies, which pay us for those calls and requests.
This policy explains what information we collect when you use the Site, call the SirGutters number or send a form, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It is part of our Terms of Use.
We may update this policy. When we do, we post the new version here and change the “Last updated” date at the top. Changes take effect when they are posted.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us:
- Quote requests: the service you need, your first and last name, ZIP code, phone number, email address if you add it, and whether you checked the consent box.
- Calls to the SirGutters number: your phone number, the time and length of the call, and, where the call system records calls, a recording of the call.
- Listing requests from gutter companies: the business name, website, phone, the contact person’s name and email, the cities served and any notes.
- Anything else you choose to send us, such as an email.
Information collected automatically: when you visit, our hosting and form providers, and any analytics tools we use, may record your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the page that referred you and the time of your visit. Each request also records the page and the form you sent it from, the time you sent it, and the version of the consent wording you saw.
We don’t ask for sensitive information such as Social Security numbers, financial account numbers or health information, and you shouldn’t include it in a form.
3. How we use it
- To pass your request or call to participating gutter companies that serve your area, so they can contact you about the work you asked about.
- To keep a record of the consent you gave, and of any opt-out, so we can show what you agreed to.
- To add, update or remove listings when a company asks.
- To answer your questions and requests.
- To run, secure and improve the Site, including measuring which pages and forms people use.
- To detect spam, fraud and misuse.
- To meet legal obligations and enforce our terms.
4. How we share it
- With participating gutter companies and lead partners. When you send a request or call the SirGutters number, we share your details with one or more participating gutter companies in your area, and may share them with lead partners that pass requests to such companies. They may contact you by phone, text or email, as described next to the form. They pay us for these requests and calls, and they handle your information under their own privacy policies.
- With service providers that work for us, such as our form service (Basin), our web host (Vercel), our call-tracking provider and analytics providers. They may use your information only to provide their services to us.
- When the law requires it, such as in response to a subpoena or court order, or to protect the rights, property or safety of SirGutters, our users or others.
- As part of a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case your information may be among the assets transferred.
- With your consent, or at your direction.
We may also share information that has been aggregated or de-identified so that it no longer identifies you.
Calling a company’s own number from its listing card connects you with that company directly. That call doesn’t go through SirGutters, and we don’t receive information about it.
5. Sale of personal information
Because gutter companies and lead partners pay us for requests and calls, sharing your request or call with them may count as a “sale” of personal information under some state privacy laws. You can tell us not to sell or share your information in the future by emailing listings@sirgutters.com with “Do not sell or share” in the subject line.
An opt-out stops future sharing by SirGutters. It doesn’t reach information we already passed to a company, so to stop a company that already has your request, contact that company directly as well.
6. Calls, texts and your consent
When you check the consent box and send a request, you agree that SirGutters and participating gutter companies may contact you at the number and email you gave, including by automated calls and texts. Agreeing isn’t a condition of buying anything.
You can withdraw your consent at any time: reply STOP to any text, ask a caller to stop calling you, or email listings@sirgutters.com. Message and data rates may apply to texts.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
The Site keeps cookies to a minimum. We may use analytics tools, such as Google Analytics through Google Tag Manager, that set cookies or use similar technologies to count visits and see how pages and forms are used. Google explains how it uses that data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with its browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
We may also use a consent-documentation service on pages with forms, such as ActiveProspect TrustedForm or Jornaya. These services record your visit to the form page, including what you typed, the consent wording shown, the time, your IP address and browser details, so that the consent you gave can be verified later.
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Like most websites, the Site doesn’t respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals.
8. Your privacy rights
Depending on the state you live in, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas and Virginia, you may have the right to:
- know what personal information we have collected about you, and get a copy in a portable format;
- correct information that is wrong;
- ask us to delete your information;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of your information, and of targeted advertising;
- not be treated differently for using these rights.
To make a request, email listings@sirgutters.com and tell us which right you want to use. We may need to confirm your identity first, for example by matching the phone number or email you used. You can use an authorized agent where state law allows it. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision, and we will explain the outcome.
California residents may also ask, once a year, which categories of personal information we disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing in the prior year, and to whom.
9. How long we keep information
We keep requests, call records and consent records for as long as we need them to provide the service, settle disputes, show what you agreed to and meet legal obligations. Then we delete them or de-identify them.
10. Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No website or transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee the security of information you send us.
11. Children
The Site is for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we delete it.
12. United States only
The Site serves homeowners and gutter companies in the United States. Information is processed and stored in the United States.
13. Contact us
For any question or request about this policy or your information, email listings@sirgutters.com.
